Nutrition & Food Intolerance Testing Overview

Nutrition and Food Testing

I am a registered and certified nutritionist and will help you improve your overall health and well-being providing in clinic, remote and online appointments to help you live a happier life.

  • Do you feel stressed and burnt out?

  • Are you unhappy with your weight & have tried countless diets?

  • Do you feel tired all the time?

  • Do you suffer with digestive conditions such as IBS & acid reflux?

  • Do you feel your hormones are all over the place?

  • Do you feel rundown and prone to picking things up?

  • Do you crave certain foods?

  • Have you bee n diagnosed with a medical condition?

  • Do you feel you will never get your life back to where it was before?

That was me in 2013 when I had an autoimmune disease that my GP dismissed outright, I tried many approaches yet felt stuck and frustrated until I educated myself on the immune system, changed my diet and healed myself from the inside out.

Your immune system is your greatest health asset and does so much more than merely protect you against infection.  Research shows that it plays a major role in every single aspect of your mental and physical health. When it's working properly, your immune system will reduce your susceptibility to infection and disease, improve your ability to recover if you do get sick and stave off unwanted inflammation, age-related immune decline and chronic disease.

I recognise that every person is unique and therefore has an individual set of dietary requirements, so whether you want to loose a few pounds, increase your energy levels or improve your health then I would love to help you on your journey.

A health assessment is a set of checks that give you an overview of your current health and include Blood Pressure, Pulse, Cholesterol and Blood Glucose Levels, this is an invaluable tool particularly as high cholesterol can cause huge health risk.

You might choose to have a health assessment because of a specific health concern, or you’d like support to improve your health. The great thing about a health assessment is that it gives you a valuable insight to where any improvements could be made to prevent health problems and to promote health longevity.  There is also the opportunity to discuss any health concerns you may have to see how Nutritional Therapy could help you.

The term ‘food sensitivity or intolerance’ and ‘food allergy’ are often confused and are two very different things.  A genuine food allergy is relatively rare with only about 2% of the adult population affected. A food allergy is a swift response by the body’s immune system to a specific food which often results in an allergic reaction within minutes to two hours. This type of allergic reaction is commonly associated reactions to peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs and seafood.  Whilst the symptoms of an intolerance can impact the person’s quality of life they are not life threatening. Food intolerances are much more common than food allergies.
